Graduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning

2011-2012 Dubuque Initiative Projects

In 2011-2012 and 2012-2013, we will be participating in a partnership between the University of Iowa and the City of Dubuque.  Dubuque has become well known in the last few years for the city’s commitment to sustainability and is therefore a natural fit with the University’s and School of Urban and Regional Planning’s commitment to both sustainability and community engagement.  Based on a series of meetings with over 25 community leaders, Dubuque and the School agreed that our students would focus on the following five projects in 2011-2012.  These will be followed by five additional projects in 2012-2013.
