Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities
The Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities (IISC) is a campus-wide effort at the University of Iowa to enhance the capacity of Iowa's communities to address the economic, environmental, and social-cultural issues they face today and build a more sustainable future. The IISC does this by partnering students and faculty at the University of Iowa with Iowa's urban and rural communities to identify, design and implement sustainability-focused projects. In doing so, the IISC provides significant outreach to Iowa's communities, while transforming teaching and learning at the University of Iowa. Information about the entire campus-wide IISC project is available on their website.
