Student Manuals
The purpose of the student manual is to provide answers to many questions that could arise during a student's period of study in the School of Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Iowa. An attempt has been made to include information on a wide range of student concerns and to provide a detailed explanation of school requirements and applicable policies. This manual should be consulted whenever questions on these matters arise.
SPPA faculty hope this manual will help allay any doubts and prevent possible misconceptions about students' obligations and rights. Any questions not answered by the manual should be referred to a student's advisor or the director.
Students are bound by the manual dated at the time they started the program. However, if certain policies change in future manuals, students have the option to continue under the previous policies or to follow the new ones.
